As a visual artist, I’m captivated by movement, by shape, form, and color. As a sound designer and musician, I'm drawn to the textures of sound, from melody to the subtle details of foley. As a writer, I'm fascinated by the quiet moments that reveal who people are. Film became the place where those disciplines could meet, shaping both my creative process and the kinds of stories I choose to tell. I believe film bridges the distance between people by preserving moments that would otherwise vanish, inviting others to experience lives, places, and perspectives beyond their own.
Growing up in the forests of the Shenandoah Valley, I was surrounded by landscapes that encouraged curiosity. I explored the woods, often alone, crafting characters and stories I always dreamed would come to life. Storytelling is at the center of everything I create, often exploring themes of community, craft, and culture. As a composer and filmmaker, my work is constantly an experiment in finding new meaning in scattered fragments, piecing together touches and glances until words bleed into landscapes and split seconds become moments people can experience again.
Most of the projects I’m drawn to begin with people who care deeply about what they do: artists, nonprofits, small businesses, community organizations, and creative spaces rooted in their communities. My role is to listen well and create something that feels honest to who they are. Rather than starting with a template, I let the people, the place, and the purpose shape the film. What matters most to me isn’t just making something beautiful; it’s making something that feels true. I believe the strongest stories come from people who feel comfortable enough to be themselves.
